Since its inception, a comprehensive framework of human rights laws has been developed to protect civil, cultural, economic, political, and social rights. These laws have evolved to address the specific needs of women, children, persons with disabilities, minorities, and other vulnerable groups, ensuring no one is left behind.
Through dedicated bodies such as the Human Rights Council, accountability and progress in human rights practices are promoted. Initiatives like the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) enable member states to evaluate and improve their human rights practices. In addition, independent experts and investigative bodies work tirelessly to address pressing human rights challenges worldwide.
